WilloWind Energy submits applications for Calla Wind Farm and Corwar Wind Farm

The first two wind farm applications were submitted for planning consent for wind farm development.  Each site has a potential indicative installed capacity of under 50MW and as such the planning applications have been submitted to the relevant local authorities.  

Calla

The Calla Wind Farm application form was registered with South Lanarkshire council on 6th December 2012.  WilloWind Energy proposes to construct Calla Wind Farm on agricultural land within South Lanarkshire. It is proposed that Calla Wind Farm will consist of up to 6 wind turbines each with a rated capacity of 3MW, with a total site capacity of up to18MW.

Corwar

The Corwar Wind Farm application form was registered with South Ayrshire council on 4th December 2012.  WilloWind Energy proposes to construct the wind farm on farmland located approximately 6.5 km east of Barrhill and approximately 20 km south-east of Girvan, South Ayrshire. It is proposed that Corwar Wind Farm will consist of up to 8 wind turbines each with a rated capacity of 2.05MW, with a total site capacity of up to 16.4MW.

 

WilloWind Energy has engaged with keys stakeholders and the local community regarding the project’s development through discussions with the local Community Councils and public exhibitions.
